Seattle Sports used to be founded in a warehouse in industrial Ballard, near downtown Seattle in 1983 by two brothers with a vision. As passionate paddlers of the northwest waterways they wanted to create a line of dry bags that would reliably seal out water and make sure a dry and secure (and thus more fun) excursion. Influenced by the blue collar working neighborhood where they set up shop, Seattle Sports became some of the first companies to manufacture dry bags the usage of radio-frequency seam welding, a method that uses the heat of high frequency waves and pressure from the welding press to create a molecular bond. With strong values to care for a normal of top of the range gear and a mission to make a line of gear that may be inexpensive to everyone, Seattle Sports has expanded its product line to include not only dry bags, but paddling and car top accessories, personal electronics cases, bike panniers and lights, camping gear, boat carts, and more.
