Spearit’s 1.7mm Kevlar line is a great heavy duty constrictor for thicker band rubber (greater than 5/8″) and for those spearos that actually wish to strangle their tubing. Kevlar’s ultra high strength, low stretch and superior knot retention mean that once tightened, your constrictor knot will stay tight. Avoid the problems of knot creep or stretch inherent in other synthetic fiber cords. Near zero stretch allows the usage of smaller, rubber-saving wishbone terminals. Omit melting the end of your constrictor to keep the knot from slipping out. For a clean finish you’ll be able to tie an extra constrictor with the knot tails and trim the excess cord flush with the knot. Its high strength to weight ratio and toughness make it a great tactical/survival accessory for outdoor activity. With a nearly weightless small coil of this cord in your pocket you’ve got extra fishing line, tent stays, snare line, sewing thread or 1000 other ways to save the day. High heat tolerance (to 900+ f), make it an excellent: model rockets paracord and fire poi accessory. This cord is braided from 100% Kevlar fiber made in the USA by Dupont and then is assembled and tested by a US defense contractor. Unlike some of our competitors, there is not any fine print about fiber blending, braid components that don’t seem to be Kevlar or generic substitution.
