Spears PVC Clamp-On Saddle with EPDM O-Ring, Zinc Bolt, Stainless Steel Reinforced Outlet, Schedule 40, White, IPS OD x NPT Female

This Spears schedule 40 PVC clamp-on saddle has a female NPT threaded outlet for connecting to pipes or fittings with male NPT threaded ends, and is suitable for adding a 90-degree branch to a pipe. The stainless steel reinforcement increases the life of the outlet, and the National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. The saddle is made of white PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength, and no more weight than metal. It has an EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) seal for resistance to oil, water, and a few solvents, and is compatible with all types of pipe with an Iron Pipe Size (IPS) out of doors diameter (OD). The saddle has a maximum pressure rating of 235 pounds per square inch (psi) at as much as 4″ IPS, 200 psi at 6″ IPS, and 150 psi at 8 to 12″ IPS. It comes with zinc-plated steel hardware for safe mounting to a pipe. This PVC clamp-on saddle is suitable for adding a 90-degree branch to pipes for cold-water pressure distribution systems including irrigation, pool and spa, potable water, and chilled water applications.
