A number of the same design features as popular D-L trailer winches, but with some essential differences. In a nutshell, these winches can be utilized for vertical ifting, whereas trailer winches are for horizontal pulling only. Brake winches haven’t any ratchet, so they are all the time “in gear”….. there’s no neutral, or free-wheel mode.
