The RXM-F3 has a conformal coating on its PCB (printed circuit board) in order to give protection to against moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes. This coating protects the amplifier from the elements of the sea. If water gets sprayed at the amplifier you’re going to not have to fret. The outside screws are made of stainless steel to higher face up to the elements. This amplifier is fully marine-rated from begin to finish.
