The Rope King HBP-381000Y hollow braided poly rope measures 3/8″ in diameter by 1,000′ long with an SWL limit of 215 lb., is yellow in color, and is suitable to be used in boating, water skiing, wake boarding, camping, anchoring, and docking. Poly (polypropylene) floats and is resistant to water, mold, and rot. The hollow braided construction lacks a core, which permits the rope to be spliced. This rope has an SWL (secure working load) limit of 215 lb.

Fibrous ropes used for pulling and lifting are made of natural and/or synthetic fiber strands. A combination of characteristics, including material, construction, diameter, length, and breaking strength, give every rope its performance capability. Fibrous rope materials are selected for properties such as strength, flotation, elasticity, and resistance to abrasion, ultraviolet light, and chemical compounds. Hollow braided rope is easily spliced, as it’s constructed of eight, 12, or 16 strands with out a core. The strands are braided into a circular pattern with half of the strands in a clockwise orientation and the other half counterclockwise. The breaking strength for fibrous rope is the strength at which new rope will fail under a stationary load. Breaking strength isn’t regarded as secure working load (SWL) limit.
Rope King USA manufactures quite a few ropes for industrial, mechanical, marine, and household purposes. The company, founded in 2008, is headquartered in Solon, OH.
