This Spears countersunk plug pipe fitting is made of schedule 40 PVC and has a spigot end connection. This countersunk plug inserts into a pipe or fitting to terminate its end. It has a male spigot connection for fitting into a female unthreaded pipe. The spigot end has the same diameter as the pipe it connects to, creating a tight seal. This schedule 40 (standard wall) fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal. It is compatible with schedule 40 PVC pipes and fittings. PVC may also be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron the usage of transition fittings.
